Bug ID: 91506
Summary: menus and dialogs are blank, invisble, or transparent
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.0.0.0.beta1
Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: BASIC
Assignee: [email protected]

This is a lot to throw into one bug report. But if they are different
bugs, they are awfully similar. Moreover I do not know whether to
split this report, if it should be split, into two or into four
reports.
Throughout the STR, do not type the quotation marks or blanks; I have
put the blanks in just for readablility.
(1 ) Menus dropped down from the menu bar of the Basic editing window
are blank or invisible.
(1. 1) Start LibreOffice to the Start Center. Execution of other
applications first changes the behaviour. (Well, I thought so
at one point, but now I cannot reproduce that.)
(1. 2) Type "<Alt>+T". Observe that the Tools menu has expanded and
that it show readable options; this is the kind of behaviour
that want, but we will not always see it later.
(1. 3) Type "M O B". Program shows dialog "LibreOfficeDev Basic
Macros"; pane "Macro from" shows "My Macros" > Standard >
Module1 selected and pane "Existing Macros In: Module1" shows
Main Selected.
(1. 4) Type "<Alt>+E". Program shows window "My Macros &
Dialogs.Standard - LibreOfficeDev Basic".
(1. 5) Type "<Alt>+F".
Program action expected: To drop down "File" menu, showing
several options from "New>" to "Exit LibreOfficeDev".
Observed on Windows: The word "File" in the menubar becomes
faint and the program drops down a grey background where the
dropdown menu should be.
Observed on Linux: The word "File" in the menubar is reverse
image.
(1. 6) Type "<down-arrow>".
Expected: to highlight "New".
Observed: no change.
(1. 7) Type "<right-arrow>".
Expected: to open a submenu offering file types.
Observed on Win: grey background where the submenu is expected.
Observed on Linux: no visible change.
(1. 8) Type "<left-arrow>".
Observed on both platforms: program displays "File" menu,
showing several options from "New>" to "Exit LibreOfficeDev".
(1. 9) Type "C". Program closes the Basic editing window and displays
Start Center.
(2 ) Some dialogs called up from the Basic editing window are blank or
transparent.
(2. 1) In Start Center, type "<Alt>+H B". Program displays dialog
"About LibreOfficeDev" with lots of information in the body of
the dialog. This is different from what you will see in this
dialog later.
(2. 2) Type "<Esc>". Program closes the About dialog and returns
focus to the Start Center.
(2. 3) Type "<Alt>+T M O B". Program shows Dialog "LibreOfficeDev
Basic Macros".
(2. 3) Type "<Alt>+E". Program shows window "My Macros &
Dialogs.Standard - LibreOfficeDev Basic".
(2. 4) Type "<Alt>+H B".
Program action expected: like step (2.1).
Observed: The body of dialog "About LibreOfficeDev" is
tranparent; the Basic code from editing pane shows through.
(2. 5) Type "<Esc>". Program closes the dialog and returns focus to
the Basic editing window.
(2. 6) Type "<Alt>+F C". Program closes the Basic editing window and
displays Start Center.
(3 ) Calc and Writer called from the Basic editing window are also
screwed up.
(3. 3) Type "<Alt>+T M O B". Program shows Dialog "LibreOfficeDev
Basic Macros".
(3. 3) Type "<Alt>+E". Program shows window "My Macros &
Dialogs.Standard - LibreOfficeDev Basic".
(3. 4) Type "<Alt>+F N S".
Program action expected: Workbook "Untitled 1" in a new window
complete with menubar, taskbar, and grid of cells.
Observed in Win: The body of the window is white.
Observed in Linux: As expected.
(3. 5) In Spreadsheet window type "<Alt>+F".
Program action expected: To display dropdown menu with several
options from "New" to "Exit LibreOfficeDev".
Observed: No visible change.
(3. 6) Type "C". Program closes spreadsheet window and returns focus
to the Basic editing window.
(3. 7) In the Basic editing window, type "<Alt>+F N T". Program opens
window "Untitled 1 - LibreOfficeDev Writer" complete with
menubar, taskbars, status bar, and document area.
(3. 8) In the Writer window, type "<Alt>+H".
Expected: Dropdown menu.
Observed on Win: The area for the menu is a white background.
Observed on Linux: No visible change.
(3. 9) Type "B".
Expected: Dialog "About LibreOfficeDev" with useful
information.
Observed: The body of the dialog is transparent, showing the
underlying Writer window.
(3.10) Type "<Esc> <Alt>+F C". Program closes the Writer window and
returns focus to the Basic editing window.
(3.11) In the Basic editing window type "<Alt>+F C". Program closes
the Basic editing window and displays Start Center.
(4 ) However, Calc from the Start Center works better.
(4. 1) In Start Center, type "<Alt>+F N S". Program displays window
"Untitled 1 - LibreOfficeDev Calc" complete with menubar,
toolbars, status bar, and grid of cells.
(4. 2) In Calc window type "<Alt>+H". Program shows menu with
readable options.
(4. 3) Type "B". Program shows dialog "About LibreOfficeDev" with the
expected useful information.
(4. 4) Type "<Esc>". Program closes the dialog and returns focus to
the Calc window.
(4. 5) In Calc window, type "<Alt>+F". Program shows dropdown menu
with readable options from "New" to "Exit LibreOfficeDev".
(4. 6) Type "C". Program closes the Calc Window and displays Start
Center.
