Bug ID: 91539
Summary: FEATURE REQUEST: print document with comments as seen
on the screen
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.0.0.0.beta1
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Using 64-bit Linux Mint Cinnamon 17.1 with 4.0.4-040004-generic kernel
LibreOffice version: 5.0.0.0.beta1
Build ID: 0a16c3dda4150008d9be6f24cbd15ac198d116d3
Locale: et-EE (et_EE.UTF-8)
Make possible to print document with comments, especially ability to export
into PDF as it seen on the screen. Currently comments in PDF are hidden and
hard to read them. There is problematic to read the comments with Evince or
other PDF-reader, what included in nowadays Linux distros. Adobe Reader shows
comments in much better way - at the bottom of page there is possible to open
special comments panel. But Adobe Reader is not a solution as it is outdated
and not released for Linux anymore.
Feature request would be make PDF-comments to read and scroll (if these are
long and have scrollbar) as they are seen in LibreOffice Writer. There would be
expected to configure in PDF-export:
- print comments as hidden (like it is now)
- as on the screen (like in Writer: always seen and scrollable)
This feature could be both: in print dialog (CTRL+P) at the second tab
"LibreOffice Writer" but also in PDF-export dialog with previously mentioned
features: hidden or as on the screen.
