1. New Text Document.
2. Open Sidebar to Manage Changes.
3. Type “test” and Enter.
4. Edit → Track Changes → Record Changes on.
5. Type “test”.
6. You can either right click on the change in the Sidebar and edit comment or
place the cursor in the changed text (doesn't work if cursor at the end or it
is selected by double click or selected from beginning to end bug 79197 or Next
Change bug 87491) and Edit → Track Changes → Comment on Change.
7. Type “test” in dialogue and OK.
Note:
The cursor is not visible until you type something and click the cursor in
again.
Result:
Manage Changes in Sidebar does not display the comment.

8. Switch to Navigator or something else in the Sidebar and switch back to
Manage Changes.
Result:
Comment is now displayed.
