            Bug ID: 91713
Summary: [UI] Move button to show/hide comments on the status
                    bar
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 4.4.2.2 release
          Hardware: Other
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

It was a great improvement to show / hide comments made to the document from
the new button included beside the vertical ruler in Writer, however, this
brings disadvantages in the user interface, as it is required to use the
vertical ruler to to use this functionality.

It depends on the user and their personal settings, view and use this
functionality. Unfortunately, in version 4.4 of libreoffice not displayed the
ruler by default in the user interface, which makes this function goes
unnoticed or is difficult to find for new users (to activate ruler to show/hide
comments?).

I think a better option would be to change the location of the button caused
the status bar. Moreover, other office suites (eg MS Office) show this
functionality in this place, which helps new users to be familiar with this
function.

Thanks
