Presently the process for numbering specific paragraphs is:
Choose Tools - Line Numbering.
Select Show numbering.
Press F11 to open the Styles and Formatting window, and then click the
Paragraph Styles icon.
Right-click the "Default" paragraph style and choose Modify.
All paragraph styles are based on the "Default" style.
Click the Numbering tab.
In the Line Numbering area, clear the Include this paragraph in line
numbering check box.
Click OK.
Select the paragraph(s) where you want to add the line numbers.
Choose Format - Paragraph, and then click the Numbering tab.
Select Include this paragraph in line numbering.
Click OK.
This is long-winded and tedious. I would respectfully suggest simplifying it
to:
a) Select text / paragraphs
b)(New command) Number lines in selected text
