1. New Spreadsheet.
2. Type “test” in cell A1.
3. File → New → Text Document.
4. Go back to spreadsheet and copy cell A1.
5. Go to text document and paste.
6. Close text document (I did not save).
7. Close application (I did not save).

I could not find anything to say there was a fix so I do not know if it has
made its way back into 4.4.4 or 4.4.5.
