--- Comment #17 from PT <[email protected]> 2012-04-10 19:11:33 PDT --- In case it's of some help in identifying the cause of this issue: On Mac OS 10.7.3, with LibreOffice 3.5.2.2, having deleted the ~/Library/Application Support/LibreOffice directory as suggested in Comment 14, I started a new Writer document and inserted an SVG diagram using Insert->Picture->From File..., then produced PDFs in three ways: A. Via File->Export as PDF..., with "PDF/A-1a" not ticked B. Via File->Export as PDF..., with "PDF/A-1a" ticked C. Via File->Print, and using the "Save as PDF" option in OS X's print dialog In each case, the SVG diagram ends up as an image. Extracting these using the pdfimages tool reveals that in case A it's actually two separate 96dpi images: one for colour and one for transparency. In cases B and C, it's a single 720dpi image with a white background. (The rendering and antialiasing of the bitmaps in B and C is identical. The files don't match exactly, though, because the the colour handling is different, and for some reason the case C bitmap is vertically flipped.) Hence this confirms Luke's findings in Comment 16, and shows that the printing routines use the same process for rasterising SVGs as the PDF/A-1a ones. Obviously it would be preferable if none of these cases did any rasterising. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Libreoffice-bugs mailing list [email protected] http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/libreoffice-bugs
