Bug ID: 92138
Summary: FORMATTING: Object vertical position from top to
margin is the same as paragraph text area
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 4.1.6.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
1. New Text Document.
2. Enter three empty paragraphs so there are four in total and place cursor in
last paragraph.
3. From toolbar, select Rectangle from Basic Shapes and draw it so that it is
at or below the current paragraph.
4. With the shape selected, right click → Position and Size.
Expected Result:
The Vertical From Top to Margin will show a value that is relative from the top
margin.
Actual Result:
The Vertical From Top to Margin shows a value that is relative from the
paragraph (text) area and not the margin. Selecting Margin or Paragraph text
area is the same.
The same is true for frames and text boxes.
Page text area could be used but only if there is no border spacing to contents
on the page.
