--- Comment #3 from [email protected] --- registrymodifications.xcu caused issue; per suggestion of tommy27 ([email protected]), the following determined the cause of the issue: 1. The older version of LibreOffice was uninstalled. 2. The LibreOffice Help file was uninstalled. 3. C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice renamed to old_LibreOffice. 4. LibreOffice v. 4.4.4.3 was installed, as well as the LibreOffice helppack. On starting Writer, File and other menu items opened promptly. 5. Files in the old_LibreOffice were restored, a few at a time, until it was determined that restoring registrymodifications.xcu caused the issue to recur. 6. registrymodifications.xcu had grown from 47 kB after fresh installation to 1,369 kB in the file that was causing the issue. Since registrymodifications.xcu had contained many clips from files, is there any way to suppress its growth?
