--- Comment #8 from Ljiljan <[email protected]> ---
I am not talking about grouping objects. It is different.

Can you watch video I attached here?

So, you should definitely be able to edit text in groups of objects... or
object individually. My idea was not about disabling it.

Now, imagine you decided to select ten objects to change background color of
those ten objects. How do you do it? You click on each while holding shift. You
goal is to change background color, therefore you decided to select ten
objects. In case you click on object with text, what happens? You cannot
proceed because text cursor appears inside your selection. You are now forced
to edit text of that selected object (for which you don't need to select
multiple objects but only that object). So, what is the purpose of text editing
when multiple objects are select? You can do it without selecting ten objects
anyhow. No one is going to select ten objects and then edit text of only one
object. Once again, I am not talking about "grouping" options. It is something
different. I am talking about "selecting" more than one object (usually with
Shift key and left click of mouse) in order to change properties of multiple
objects such as background color, line width etc.
