Bug ID: 92660
Summary: Enhancement - use of Shift key with Insert Row and
Column icons on the Table Toolbar
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
When the insert row icon is used on the Table toolbar, it inserts a row below
the current row.
When using the Table > Insert > Row menu sequence, you have a choice of adding
a new row either before or after the current row, with the default being before
the current row. This takes several mouse clicks or modified keystrokes.
It would be a nice enhancement if the toolbar icons could be modified to accept
a modifier (like the shift or control key) to insert a row above the current
row; how this might be indicated on the toolbar is an interesting challenge for
an icon designer, but would, I suspect, be quickly committed to muscle memory
by heavy uses of tables.
Of course, the same enhancements would be helpful on the insert column icon as
well.
I'm using LibreOffice Writer Version:
4.4.4.0.0+ Build ID: 5c6f7f0920a91c974e9639f2c751582c8f140b2b
running on 64 bit Ubuntu 14.04.02 LTS
