Bug ID: 92715
Summary: LibreOffice won't launch Writer under Window Maker
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Under Bodhi Linux 3.0.0, I can start libreoffice, splash screen, open
a new Writer document. This is under the default window manager,
Enlightenment (e19 20150407-1).
I install Window Maker (0.95.5-2ubuntu1) and launch LibreOffice. It
provides a splash screen and selection of things to start. But when I
click Writer--nothing happens. Similarly, if I try "libreoffice --writer"
it will start up, briefly show a splash, then nothing.
The libreoffice command is still there, hasn't exited. The command
emits no output, nor does syslog show any process failures. I strace'ed
the command and nothing jumped out at me. Here's the processes which are
sitting there:
2683 pts/0 Sl 0:00 /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/oosplash --writer
2700 pts/0 Sl 0:00 /usr/lib/libreoffice/program/soffice.bin --writer
--splash-pipe=5
There's a dbus and gconfd there, so I really can't imagine what's missing
to put Writer off its stride?
Thanks.
