I don't reproduce that (see attached screenshot) so I suspect that by the time you performed that check the 4.4.4.3 release was not officially released yet. so I mark this report as RESOLVED WORKSFORME feel free to revert status if when 4.4.5.2 will be officially releases (first week of august) the update check of your currently installed 4.4.4.3 will fail to display the new available version -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
