Microsoft Word has a feature that lets you enter a drawing canvas, Writer has
nothing similar.
It can be implemented a framework in which the Draw tools are offered to users,
giving the possibility to create diagrams and use of connectors, and other
design features that are unique to Draw.
This avoids having to resort to another application, even if it is the LO Draw,
to more elaborate illustrations.
