My saying in comment 3 that the S&F function worked, it is likely due to
testing the wrong thing, using the context menu to change a single cell. (I
really wanted it to work.)
Since the S&F function in the tool bar no longer worked after just
deactivating/activating a few functions predefined by default in the tool bar,
by unchecking/checking the associated check box.

Looking at your comment #2, you mention being able to use the (relatively new)
side bar to access the S&F dialog.
I suspect that you haven't tested the S&F dialog in the format tool bar, which
is where I reported the error occurring.
As well, you give no indication of having tested the alternate menu:format:S&F
and F11 means of accessing this function. Please note that these 2 methods of
accessing the function are not configurable.

Could you confirm that you have actually tested these means of accessing the
S&F function ?
Otherwise you are just saying that something other than the problem reported
works for you.
