I received the document via email and had the exact same display problem. To help improve LibreOffice, I tought I make a minimal example (since I can not attach the received .docx). I therefore copied the "image" into an .odt and attached it here. Your "Believe the .ODT was incorrectly created." can not be correct. I opened the original .docx, copied/pasted the "image" into a new .odt. What did I do "incorrectly" ? And why is the "image" displayed in LO-draw but not in LO-writer ? Settings this issue to "invalid" is like ignoring the problem.
