            Bug ID: 93791
Summary: FORMATTING of cells lost when editing content in
                    general input field
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: Other
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

* Open a new Calc document and input two or three sentences of text in a cell.
* Format a part of the text, but not all of it, in bold or italics.
* Leave the cell
* Go back to the cell
* Modify the text of the cell but NOT in the cell itself but in the general
input field at the top of the window

Problem: When pressing the SHIFT key and releasing it, the formatting of the
text is removed. This is not a display error but the formatting information is
lost when pressing the button.

One can circumvent the problem by editing the text in the cell rather than in
the general input box. However, this is not possible in my case as the text is
longer than what can be displayed in the cell due to my limited notebook screen
size.

I tried Libreoffice 4.2, 4.3, 4.4 and also 5.0 with Ubuntu 14.04 and 15.04, all
have the same issue.
