--- Comment #4 from Uwe Dippel <[email protected]> --- Sorry, my fault (again!), I don't mean 'textbox'. I mean the box, boxes, that you create not with Master page, but with the layout helpers under Format->Slide Layout. A widget pops up to the right, with (in my case) 12 predefined layouts. And likewise to the filling of these boxes (wrongly called 'textbox' here and there), it is too clever by half (as the say in English) and tries to do things 'by heart' by - filling the whole box like that other bug - and scaling any image that so happens to lie around, and snap it in my box (or, in case of multiple images and more than one layout box, boxes). Maybe UX considers this okay, I'd consider it a layout for intellectually challenged users. It is at least in my workflow despicable because I cannot insert an image, anywhere on the slide, scale it, place it, and then decide to chose another layout, like with two of those boxes side by side. If I do, all my scaling, placement will be overridden by snugly fitting the images exactly into those boxes; the least thing I intend to do. I want those boxes for a consistent layout and placement of e.g. text from slide to slide - and not because I was too dumb to place and scale the images myself. That is why this behaviour is despised by me, irrespective when it was 'cleverly' invented, if it was in 4.X or not. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
