As I mentioned in my first comment, rebooting the computer fixed the crashing. Since the last reboot I haven't seen any crashes. Maybe 5.0.2.2 actually contains a fix for what I've experienced but it only came into affect after rebooting. I very rarely reboot this laptop. If you are convinced that it is not a general issue, please go ahead and close this report.
