As suggested in the document you referred me to, I changed the file named "user" in the user profile directory stream to "user-old" and then restarted LibreOffice Calc. I opened the spreadsheet I have been working on and started performing my copy and paste operations. The program hung up again after about 4 or 5 copy/paste operations. So, a new user profile did not fix this problem. Another piece of information is that once it hangs up and I use the Windows Task Manager to kill the program and then restart LibreOffice and select the Calc spreadsheet and resume my Copy/Paste operations, the program will not hang up again.
