The only way to delete this is backspacing. Additionally you can undo after first space or punctuation, but initially typed letters/numbers are still there. So, typing: ABC - can't undo ABC - can undo just " " (space) ABC. 123 - can undo ". 123" only Therefore undo function is broken. Also - while I can undo by CTRL+Z, I can't do it using undo button, because it is inactive.
