Bug ID: 94775
Summary: multi-pages and multi-columns table: allow alternative
text-flow
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
I want to format a large list of items and I want them to be displayed as 3
columns.
I create a 3 columns table in Writer and paste the list in the first one.
The first column filled and extends to several pages. It's logical.
But I would like the text to flow in this order:
>From top to bottom, from column 1 to column 3, from page 1 to page N
Visually:
page1:
| col A | col B | col C |
-------------------------
| 1 | 4 | 7 |
| 2 | 5 | 8 |
| 3 | 6 | 9 |
page2:
| col A | col B | col C |
-------------------------
| 10 | 13 | 16 |
| 11 | 14 | 17 |
| 12 | 15 | 18 |
To obtain this result, one currently need to create as much table than pages
and paste portion of the text <number of columns>*<number of pages needed>
times.
In case it's difficult to implement above specified text-flow, feel free to
provide workarounds.
