Bug ID: 94783
Summary: UK Health and Safety Executive tool-kits spreadsheet
freeze when being opened.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.0.2.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: critical
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
I have been trying to use the free to download and use HSE Management Standards
spreadsheet downloadable from:
www.hse.gov.uk/stress/standards/pdfs/analysistool.xls
However I am unable to use LibreOffice as it only opens correctly in Microsoft
Office - which I am trying to get away from without much success when such
things happen.
The spreadsheet asks to run macros, when the positive (YES) response is taken
then it returns an error "Basic syntax error". It then will only close if
"XKILL" is used from a terminal.
I have waited several months to try again to use LibreOffice, and have upgraded
several times to each new version - but it has not made any difference.
