I recently completed a survey and found that we have about 80 reports in the tracker that could be resolved by this: https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Resolving_corruption_in_the_user_profile User profile corruption (which is a bit vague of a term) can lead to all kinds of craziness, including crashes. Yet, the reports are not left open after it is discovered a profile reset solved it.
