I imagine it is specific only to registrymodifications.xcu - can we do the following: a) whack that file into 5.0 and see if the problems recurr ? if they do then: b) binary-chop the file - (it will need to be pretty-printed first or use an XML editor) to remove the top/bottom alternatively to get this down to a few lines / settings which affect this functionality.
