Bug ID: 95410
Summary: Keyboard shortcut Ctrl-S should Always mean Save File
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.0.2.2 release
Hardware: Other
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Ctrl-S, the shortcut for Saving the file, is sometimes used in other dialogs to
mean different things. It can easily lead the user to thinking that they've
saved the file, when they haven't.
Please consider making Ctrl-S have a single mapping. And make sure it works no
matter what dialog or panel is active (unless you're locked in a modal dialog,
of course).
Concrete examples I've noticed are the Styles and Formatting Modify-style
panel, and Find & Replace.
I honestly think it could even be argued that the current behaviour is a design
bug!
