Creating a Pie chart where some of the rows or columns (whichever way round the
data / names are) are blank makes a chart where there are blank labels with
colours assigned to them. This means that if selecting a dataseries with a lot
of blanks in it the colours are quickly used up and start repeating meaning
that you end up with a chart with no proper colour variation in it and a lot of
blank colours in the legend.
