Example ODP and PDF files
Text with background color is properly shown in Impress during authoring.
However such text is rendered without background color in presentation mode or
if the presentation is exported as PDF. The attached files can be used to
reproduce the issue.
PS: Since "5.0.3.2 release" wasn't in the Version list I selected "5.0.3.2 rc".
