I confirm the missing pages/content with v3.3.4 & v4.4.6.3 under windows 7 x64.
Bug 91418 is about an import issue with doc format, not docx.
But..... there is another issue with v5. As joel already said, there is a 'File
format error' which isn't the case with v4.4 and earlier. And if you load it in
v4, save it to docx, you should be able to load it in v5.
