I remembered another important point. If the corruption has happened and you
export to PDF, it is present in the PDF as well. If the display is correct and
you export, the export is correct.

So, the bug would probably be somewhere in the representation of the display,
rather than the display code itself.

Also, I had a similar corruption happen yesterday -- in the actual header and
without headings. I had updated the template for my business header. I went to
open up a document with an old version of that template. If I choose to leave
styles alone, it loads correctly. If I choose to update the styles, it creates
the "stair step" display seen in the other one. It did it several times in a
row. Today, after a full reboot, it's working correctly.

Stupid intermittent bug.
