I'll endeavor to write (with mock up) a new enhancement for a Normal Display Mode with a notes pane at the bottom. The current Notes Display Mode seems to be the "Presenter's Hardcopy/Print Display Mode" as the current setup for the notes mode is useful to see what a printed A4 copy would look like and make sure the notes fit on an A4 sheet of paper.
