While trying to split a large document (a 480 page - almost a MB - diary with
copied stuff) where I was copying from one and pasting into another, Writer
kept crashing. After simplifying the situation I find that selecting 10
screens full from the tail end and deleting is often enough to freeze a save
(no pasting required) - requiring a forced close of the task.
I'm running in LMDE x64, 13 GB RAM, 270 GB free in /home partition, 98% free in
/, 8.8 GB free RAM with a P8H67 mobo and i5 processor. Conky shows no unusual
CPU, network, disk, or swap activity.
