It seems that in the 5.0.3.2 release the Tools -> Word Count in Writer is no
longer working correctly. When you want to see the character count in a .doc
Microsoft Word document, instead of correct counts of words and characters in
the document, it shows only 0's.
However, if you select part of a text, then it shows the correct count for
selection, while still showing 0's for the whole document.
I was able to replicate this bug in Mac OS X and Windows 10 versions of
Libreoffice.
