Bug #: 49551
Summary: VIEWING: Draw OLE Object draws elements outside the
boundaries
Classification: Unclassified
Product: LibreOffice
Version: LibO 3.5.3 release
Platform: Other
OS/Version: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Status Whiteboard: BSA
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
Problem description:
Steps to reproduce:
1. Create Draw file with some shapes and add a white rectangle somewhere below
the shapes you actually wish to display.
2. Create Writer file with a lot of lorem ipsum and insert Draw file as OLE
object somewhere in the middle.
3. Double click OLE object, scroll to fit left and upper corner of the shapes
we want to see nicely. Then proceed to resize the OLE object boundaries so that
just the shapes we want to see are visible within the boundaries of the OLE
object.
4. Close OLE object editing and resize the OLE object to fit nicely into the
text.
Current behavior:
A word below the OLE object, around the place where the white patch would be if
it was visible, is invisible. Changing the word or its attributes makes it
reappear for a wee bit but then disappears again. Note that this effects both
the rendering and the PDF export, which means to say that the word is also
"blanked" in an exported PDF document.
Expected behavior:
Elements of OLE objects outside the OLE object boundaries should not effect any
surrounding text in Writer.
Platform (if different from the browser):
Browser: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; U; en) Presto/2.10.229
Version/11.62
