This is an agreed to process--backed by what metrics were available--and a strong consensus across the project that the work was required. Jay, with full Design/UI team support, has lead the effort (and frankly done most of the work)--with some heavy lifting from a number of the devs. Folks simply have no idea just how tedious doing this correctly has been. Personally--Jay has my complete support, both for his vision and for his attention to doing the task correctly! Thank you! Keep going!
