Bug ID: 96601
Summary: VIEWING / UI: save button does no longer gray out
(stays enabled) when no changes have been made since
last save
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.1.0.1 rc
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: UI
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
In the new LO 5.1.0.1 the save button in the task bar no longer grays out when
the document has been saved and no new changes have been made. This is somewhat
disconcerting, as I (and I suppose many others) look at the save button to know
if we have to save the doc. (There is an icon which indicates this, but it is
very far from the save button and possible somewhat too modest to catch
attention in the same way.) The save button in the "file" menu continues to
gray out as expected.
Also, while I can understand that the save button has been changed to add
support for remote saving, I wonder why the "save as" button is also reacheable
by clicking on the save button.
It would be preferable, I think, to be able to customize the save button: do I
want one save button (which comprizes the save as button and the remote save
button), or do I want 2 or 3 save buttons?
This is only about the UI; the save function continues to work as it should.
