There is a free open-source program called TreeSheets -

TreeSheets has some very cool features missing from LibreOffice Calc -

Also it would be cool if LibreOffice Calc could import/export TreeSheets
fileformat .cts
Would propose to make it configurable, e.g. make the choice "enable TreeSheets
mode" available.
