Bug ID: 97089
Summary: Not an intuitive program.
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Draw
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
I ordinarily use Libre Office for documents and spreadsheets.
I believe that I have a recent, updated version of Libra Office for Ubuntu.
For the above programs, I did not require a set of instructions beyond my
experience using other software.
Dragging a rectangle ought to be a simple thing: Click on the starting point;
stretch out the rectangle; click on the ending point.
Unfortunately, the rectangle will not stick to the page, and the Draw
instruction manual says nothing about this.
Regressing to plain lines: once I get one on there, it is impossible to draw
another: click on Line icon; click on starting point; then---nada, zip,
nothing.
The Line icon turns off, and the cursor tries to make one of those disappearing
rectangles.
Software that behaves this way gets uninstalled pronto.
Free is wonderful. I love free-ware. However, free is not free when I spend
an entire evening with nothing to show for my effort. This experience makes
Adobe seem downright economical.
Either make the program intuitive, or rewrite the instructions to reflect what
the program actually does ---please.
