Bug ID: 97173 Summary: Page margins (mirrored) reversed in Endnotes (Linux not Windows) Product: LibreOffice Version: unspecified Hardware: All OS: Linux (All) Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Writer Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org Reporter: jonathan.chiare...@gmail.com Page margins (mirrored) reversed in Endnotes (*nix not Windows) I can't comment on OSX. Set Page Layout to mirrored. Set outer and inner page margins. Works as expected. Odd pages in LTR are on right. Even pages on left. Outer margins on odd pages are on right. Inner margins on odd pages are on the left. Outer margins on even pages on left. Inner margins on even pages are on the right. This is intended for double-sided (front+back) printing, obviously. When there are endnotes, the endnotes are in their own style/formatting section. You have to set up mirrored page layout and margins all over again. On Linux, the rulers are correct. The rulers are shaded correctly (grey vs. white). However, the display does not match the rulers. The text clearly aligns in a way opposite. For book binding you want a larger inner margin. In the endnotes, the outer margin is larger. On printing output and in pdf output, the mistake is there. Inner and outer margins are reversed. However, when I open the same .odt file in Windows, the margins are all fine. I hate booting into Windows, so before I tested this in Windows to file this bug, I just switched the Format->Page settings in the file on Linux for endnotes. I clicked in the endnotes at any old place. I switched my numerical values for outer and inner margin and saved the output in pdf and I got by. I "hacked" it to get the output I wanted, but I would appreciate a proper fix. This problem has nothing to do with first page styles, etc. This problem is NOT present on Windows. This affects 5.0 on linux, possibly 5.1 as well. Using Ubuntu 15.10. Thank you for your work developers. I keep proselytizing and used LibreOffice for my dissertation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
