--- Comment #11 from Virgil <[email protected]> --- I've been doing some additional experimenting. I've found that I get different results with simple numbering done with the numbering styles, simple numbering done directly through the toolbar and outline numbering. I've found that if I do simple numbering through the toolbar, it *does* restart at 1 after a new heading (which is what I want). But, if I do simple numbering through numbering styles, it does *not* restart after a new heading. Obviously, I need more education in the many, many different ways LO can do numbering. I'll concede that my lack of knowledge does not necessarily mean that there's a bug here. But, I will still contend that this is one area where LaTeX gets it so much cleaner and easier. It just works, especially if I use the LyX front end. With LyX, I get the desired results quickly and without fanfare. With LO, I have to first educate myself on *at least* three different methods of numbering text and then figure out which one will achieve the desired result. Thank you for your patience with a still learning LO user. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
