Bug ID: 97420
Summary: PDF export does not honour relative URL settings
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.0.3.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Printing and PDF export
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Reproduce as follows:
1. Open LibreOffice Writer
2. Go to Tools → Options → Load/Save → General
3. Set both "Save URLs relative to file system" and "Save URLs relative to
internet"
4. OK out of the dialogue
5. Save the document to disk
6. Type a sentence
7. Select a word or two from the sentence
8. Insert hyperlink (Ctrl+K)
9. Select "Document"
10. Enter a path to another file, e.g., in the same directory as your document
11. OK out of the dialogue
12. Save the document (for good measure)
13. Export as PDF (File → Export as PDF) in the same directory as the document
14. Open the PDF file in a viewer that support links (e.g., Okular)
15. Note that the hyperlink target (if your viewer shows it, e.g., as a
tooltip) appears as a full path
16. Become mildly worried
17. Click on the hyperlink. Verify that it works.
18. Close the PDF
19. Move (not copy!) both the PDF and the file which is the target of your link
to a different directory, while maintaining their relative paths (e.g., "./")
20. Open the PDF again
21. Click on the hyperlink again
Actual result:
* The target document does not open. Your viewer or operating system may
report that the document has not been found.
* User becomes unhappy ☹
Expected result:
* The target document opens
* User beams with happiness and a sense of accomplishment ☺
