Because parentheses are part of regular expressions.

You need to disable their use in Menu/Tools/Options/LibreOffice calc/Calculate
- Enable regular expressions in formulas.

If you need to use regular expression you can esc those characters with a
backslash before them '\('.

Resolved as notabug, please if you are not agree, reopen it.
