Bug ID: 98050
Summary: Images inserted in the slides won't show up in
presentation
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.0.4.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Impress
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
I am using the latest version of Linux Mint 17.2. When I insert images into
slides in Libre Office Impress they appear to display fine, both in the editing
window and Presentation view. However, when opening the same files under
Windows 10, the images only display in the slide edit window but not in the
actual presentation! Strangely, the problem remains the same whether I save in
ODP format and open the presentation in Libre Impress on Windows or PPT and
open with Microsoft Office.
I have tried both copying the images from web browser and saving them on HDD
and inserting them directly. I have also tried compressing them in Impress.
Neither option seems to work.
The only workaround so far has been to save each image in the presentation to
HDD once the file has been opened in Windows and then reinserting them, either
through Libre Impress or Microsoft Office Powerpoint.
Lastly, the issue seems to have developed sometime between early January and
mid February, suggesting that a recent update might be to blame. The
presentations that I created before February, seem to display all images
correctly regardless of how they were inserted or whether I save the files as
ODP or PPT.
