Do these steps to reestablish LibreOffice file association clear things for you? 1. open Windows Explorer 2. locate and *.doc file 3. right mouse to open context menu 4. Open with -> Choose another app 5. scroll in "Other Options" and select LibreOffice Writer (open "more apps" if LibreOffice Writer is not listed) 6. check the "Always use this app" box 7.
