"clip1.png" shows my screen after I open the same document and scroll to the same table as in your screenshot. "clip2.png" shows my screen right after i doubleclick on the same table as in your screen (left top). As you can see, the layout has changed and the focused table is not on the screen any more. The table is in fact opened but i have to scroll to the correct position to see and to work with it. What i just realise is, that the layout changes from "two pages side by side" to "three pages side by side" every time i do a doublecklick on an calc-table!
