Bug ID: 98777
Summary: unexpected autoscrolling requires closing and
reopening file
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.0.4.2 release
Hardware: Other
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
A file autoscrolls toward the bottom. I'm not sure, but I think it happens in
an existing (maybe long) Writer document already saved, happening after I do a
search (using ctrl-f without Match Case) downward for a few or many matches,
then click the Find Previous arrow and find a few matches, then click the Find
Next arrow and find one or a few matches. My kludgy solution is to save (if
necessary and saving may or may not stop the autoscrolling) and close and
reopen the file. I do not have to quit Writer or LibreOffice. It used to happen
in Writer 4.x, too.
I'm using an AMD PC-type laptop with openSuse 13.2 Linux. LO info is "Build ID:
00m0(Build:2)"/"Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8)" for Suse. I don't remember which
hardware I was using for LO v4.x, but it, too, was likely with Linux.
