I wonder, if anyone will pick this up? This actually affects everyone, who has
files on network drives, which they access occasionally. For instance, many
businesses, research institutes etc. have network drives, which people people
access and work on their files. Then they lose access to those (e.g. come home)
and LibreOffice is not working/hanging/freezing. This is very frustrating and
from a programmer's perspective easy to solve. I don't program in C++
efficiently yet and LibreOffice code is not something I am familiar with. But I
really don't get, why it tries to access files in the recent documents list,
even though user doesn't want to open them. It is also clear that this is the
problem. strace shows enormous amount of access to these files, which even
seems to increase over time.
