I would say it is related
Yes if I have a calc sheet with no basic operators used (+ - * /),
I can cause LO to crash by simply creating a formula/basic operation using one
of these operators. LO crashes as soon as I press 'enter' to activate the
formula/operation on my pc (see my original message for environment) and LO
does not allow OpenCL.
However on my notebook, LO (with or without allowing OpenCL) is not affected.

My problem, arises from LOv5.1+ trying to open a calc sheet that already has
these basic operators in situ in the cell - LO5.1 crashes with the described
error box and cannot open the file.

Later comments to bug 98116 are suggesting OpenCL problems.
My problem suggests the graphic card environment is influencing LO'sOpenCL
functionality

Hope this Helps

Neil
