EDITING dimension lines in DRAW results in error in line length AND the length
listed in the Position and Size dialog.
LibreOffice version 5.1.1.3 (This problem has existed for years, on many
previous versions)
When using the "Position and size" dialog to change and existing dimension
line, the resulting length does not match the value entered in the dialog. This
error occurs on dimension lines shorter than *approximtately* 0.7 inch.
Performing the same operation on longer dimension lines (say 3 inches) seems to
behave correctly (unless entering a length shorter than approximately 0.7 inch.
I have not determined that actual boundary where the error begins.
This bug may possibly be related to bug 97161, although some details are
different.
To reproduce one flavor of the bug:
- In the "lines and arrows" menu, select "dimension line"
- Draw a horizontal dimension line 0.5 inch (approximately, it does not have to
be exact)
- Open the "Position and size" dialog, note the width of the dimension (0.89)
does not represent the length of the drawn dimension line. (If you draw a long
dimension line, the value will be correct.)
- Enter 0.25 for the width value, hit OK, the resulting dimension line is now
0.14 inch
- Open the "Position and size" dialog, the width is still 0.89
There are many variations of errors produced when using Position and Size
dialog with short dimension lines. I suspect they have the same root cause.
