But this problem seems fixed or at least improved in the current Master build:
with LOdev version 3.6.0alpha0+ (Build ID: f8e94ec; installation file:
master~2012-05-21_00.57.17_LibO-Dev_3.6.0alpha0_MacOS_x86_install_en-US.dmg),
again on MacOS X 10.6.8, the spacing matches the original (MS Office) spacing
much better, and the complete text fits on one single page again. I will attach
two PDF files showing the progress.

This fix will soon become available with LibreOffice 3.6.0, which will be based
on the current Master, of course.

Therefore changing the 'Status' field again, this time to RESOLVED/FIXED (maybe
RESOLVED/WORKSFORME would be more appropriate, but this issue seems to be
really 'fixed' in the 3.6 development process, therefore I use FIXED).

Please note:
There are still some minor/other issues visible in my PDF files, especially the
bullets (wrong shape) and and the missing underline of the title in the .doc
file, but these are separate issues for which separate bug reports exists.
